Under the theme 'Lost & Stolen Device System (LSDS)', the new system will provide convenience and convenience for users who want to block the mobile phone in case it is stolen, hijacked, or lost.

"Complainants can easily apply to the PTA for blocking the IMEI of that device to prevent it from being misused," a PTA spokesman said in a statement.

Under the new system, a stolen cell phone will be blocked within 24 hours of reporting after the required confirmation.

According to the statement, LSDS is a professional system to block lost & snatched mobiles and It is linked with PTA Advanced Technology.

How to lodge a complaint

To block mobile phones, users will have to apply to the PTA through its online grievance system (CMS) available at www.pta.gov.pk. Once the appeal has been lodged, the complainant will receive a reference number on which the blockchain application is successfully registered.

For more information and queries, users can also contact the support of PTA consumers or call on their official number 0800-55055. The number will remain valid for 12 hours a day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every seven days a week.

If a call is received, the complainant will have to follow the same procedure to unlock the CMS and state his or her complaint number and other mandatory information given to them at the beginning of the cell phone blocker. In the statement of PTA, It is clearly said that the users will receive an SMS from us if the phone is not powered off.

Currently, users go to the PTA to block or block lost, stolen, or snatched mobile phones at their toll-free number, by sending an email to email@pta.gov.pk or via CPLC Karachi. However, after the launch of the new system, these links will no longer be available to users.
